OUTSOURCE? AM I CALLING A FOREIGN COUNTRY?

Our work is done by trained professional bookkeepers and accountants based in the United States. You will be assigned a bookkeeper with whom you will communicate on a daily basis, and who will have a personal business relationship with you. From your perspective, it will be as if he or she has an office right down the hall from yours. You will not be dealing with a different phone operator every time you call. All employees have uniform policies and regulations that they all have to follow, to ensure that, if we do have to assign you a new bookkeeper, they can pick up right where you left off.

HOW DOES YOUR SERVICE WORK?

SmallBiz Outsource assigns each client a bookkeeper. He or she will communicate with you on a constant basis, perform daily and periodic accounting services, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

DO I NEED SPECIFIC SOFTWARE OR EQUIPMENT?

No. There is no software to install or maintain. For clients using a program such as QuickBooks, we will access your already-existing records, but if you don’t, we might suggest programs for you. We may also ask that some of your vendors send their bills directly to us, to save time and increase efficiency.

DO I HAVE TO LEAVE MY CURRENT ACCOUNTANT?

Of course not. We are offering to take away your bookkeeping headaches. Our goal is to complement your CPA firm and to work with them to give you the best possible service throughout the year on a daily basis. Your accountant will be grateful for the accurate and easy-to-use data in your file, and will actually welcome our help.

DO YOU ALSO DO INCOME TAXES?

Although we are headed by qualified CPAs, SmallBiz Outsource does not actively seek to do our clients’ income taxes. We prefer to focus our energy on keeping your books as accurate and up-to-date as possible so that your tax accountant will be able to access them smoothly and without a headache. 

IF I SIGN UP WITH YOU, WILL I STILL HAVE CONTROL OF MY BOOKS?

Yes! Actually, you will have more control than ever, since you will have improved financial records at your fingertips, and you will have more time to plan for the future instead of constantly reacting to past events. Although we pay your bills on the dates that you instruct us to do so, you will have 100% control of all monies and the decisions as to how they are used. We provide the data, but you approve. Our role in maintaining your financial records will depend on what level of involvement you want. Some of our clients prefer to relinquish more control than others. Our goal is to make you more comfortable and more at ease with your company’s finances. 

WHAT IS THE CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES?

Each business is unique. We will analyze your existing accounting files and offer various packages to choose from in order to provide you with the level of service that you require. We know that clients like to know how much they’re going to pay before they sign up for anything, but in the end, you will definitely be paying less than you are right now for a full-time or even a part-time in-house bookkeeper, especially once you factor in all the overhead involved. If you or someone on your staff is agonizing over the books during downtime, our rates are definitely worth the peace-of-mind that comes from having them done correctly and accurately, and by someone other than yourself.
